JUST CHECKING IN!!

Still in Pandemic, BUT, we are about to out of this if we can get everyone vaccinated. Pat got his first shot, mom and Tim received both of their shots, Sean has his first one, Kenzie has an appt for her first one, Nolan is in a study of a new vaccine, so he'll have his soon, but me...NEGATIVE. I don't have any underlying illness that would put me in the front of the line...that's ok, I know in May, I'll get it. We need to Thank the NEW ADMINISTRATION for our new HOPE for this year!

Both Pat and I are on TikTok now. HAHAHA!

Hope that Pat and I can start a NEW adventure traveling, well, ANYWHERE! We are starting our preparation for Retirement and deciding where we would like to retire. Either, keep our house here or buy in another country, etc. We have many options, which is a nice problem to have.

I've started a new job with the Sheriff's dept. in Licensing. It's a lot of work, BUT, it's great for me to be busy and it helps with our retirement.

RETIREMENT, is what we're working toward right now! We are paying off all of our bills so we will only have the house payment. This way our plan is either move to Costa Rica or stay here and travel for a month at a time to different countries. Either way, WE ARE TRAVELING!!! That's our retirement!!!

I can't wait for this next adventure in our lives.

Til next time!

Enjoy The Ride!!!

STILL in a Pandemic!!

 Hello All!!

YES, we are still in a pandemic and we here in California have gone to a strict stay-at-home order. Which, we have been doing anyway. Pat and I have not gone anywhere since MARCH! With that being said, we are NOT anti-maskers, we are NOT Non Covid Believers, we are 100% into doing what we are supposed to do.

I do wish I could be posting about our last trip/adventure. THANK GOODNESS we went to Costa Rica in January. We at least got one trip in this year.

One HUGE accomplishment this year was the ELECTION and the US VOTE!! Super impressed on how many people went out and voted to put our country back on track. This year will be historic and I hope everyone, no matter who you support, realize how deeply generation changing January 20th, 2020 will be. I feel truly accomplished, as a woman, to be here, presently to live in this time of our history. All girls, young women, and women, need to watch the Inauguration on January 20th, 2021 so they can feel how the impact of this election will affect all of us, but, especially the women and the weight of this "FIRST" in American History.  Stand up and be proud to be an American Woman at this point and time. You can also click on the picture!!!

If you know me, I am NOT a 45 fan. NEVER HAVE BEEN. BUT, I will call out anyone who's in charge. What we've gone through in the last four years, has been HELL or worse than hell. If that's possible.

I have added links in this blog to FairFight, Stacey Abrams (American Hero), foundation to fight Voter Suppression, as well as, links to President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris. Please check out all of these links. We ALL need to educate ourselves on the people who we are voting into office and all of the shady dealings others are trying to do to stop our vote and suppress information being published.

I just wanted to hop on here to say, stay strong help is on its' way, stay safe, our numbers are out of control and stay positive because, there is a light at the end of this DARK tunnel. In more way than one!

Cheers to HOPE that we can travel in 2021!!!

Enjoy the Ride!!!

It was a beautiful flight. 5 hours from LAX to Liberia.

This was an historic flight. Pat used an Airplane bathroom for the first time because we had a LOT of beer..!! HAHAHA!!

When you land, you get your bags, then go through Immigration. My cousin got us a Shuttle to the house..1 1/2 drive to Nosara...45 minutes on a dirt road. So fun!!! We had a "BEER" stop, potty break, beer stop and potty break...HAHHAHA!!

CANCUUUUUNNN!!!!! June 2019

Our BIG trip this year (so far) was to CANCUN! We've never been there before so seemed like a great place to go!!! BEACH, BEER, RELAX, WARM WATER..YES! Our kinda place.
We flew out of the Tijuana Airport again. Which, by the way, is REALLY nice now! The terminal has Starbucks, restaurants clean bathrooms! AWESOME! We park at the CBX on the US side and get our Immigration Green Cards to visit, check bags and walk over. SO EASY and inexpensive. It's just really nice when we fly back to have our car and simply drive home. Very easy and stress free.

We flew to Mexico City then onto Cancun. Arrived in Cancun at around 5pm and it was BEAUTIFUL but Humid. No worries though, we're going to the BEACH! Got our bags, found our shuttle and off we went. Our resort was on the "Hotel strip" part of Cancun, between 2 BIG RESORTS. BEACHSCAPE KIN HA    Beautiful Resort. Quiet and the rooms, OMG, are soooo nice. We  upgraded to a huge suite, but I didn't realize it was this big. 1200 SQ ft, 2 balconies, full kitchen, living room, dining room table (6 chairs), and a dining table on 1 of the balconies, then a separate BEDROOM with the FULL ON BATH and SHOWER! OMG!! So much room for activities!!

After checking in, we found the BAR on the BEACH. Literally, ON THE BEACH! We sat at the table and my feet were dangling over the sand. Perfect start to the vacation.

As you probably already guessed, the next day.......

Yes, all day long. That's it! And the next day!

But on the Sunday of our trip, we decided to venture out and go on an ADVENTURE! And it WAS!

Took a bus tour of: Chichen Itza
This trip from Cancun is a long trip, not too long, but about 2 hours each way. So this is why we took a bus. Tour Bus, air conditioning, soft comfortable seats, food, beer and plenty of leg room.  We had a personal guide who gave us all the info and history of the site. They did stop so we could have a bathroom break and stretch our legs.

Then next stop, the site. It's a National Park site, so we had to go through buildings, with our tickets (included in the price of the tour), then walk down this dirt path through some woodsy type areas, then to the BIG Pyramid!! When you walk out of the woods, it's just there. Big, huge, magical, awe inspiring, breathtaking, and any of adjective you can think of for AWESOME!

It's big, strong, ominous, and simply awe striking. You can't climb the stairs anymore, because people were taking pieces of the walls and carving their names in it (stupid), so they stopped that. It was really hot that day, so that's ok we couldn't climb the stairs. The entire site is HUGE! They actually discovered more of the site a mile and a half away that is still being excavated and it's not open to visitors yet. CRAZY! This is a WONDER OF THE WORLD! We got to see one. So exciting. Now we are interested in any documentary about the Mayans! HAHA!

We stayed with the group for about an hour then we walked around by ourselves exploring everything we wanted to spend more time on. Our tour was over around 1pm and we had to meet at the bus where they had....
Well....it was HOT...We stopped for Lunch then went to a Cenote. We didn't go in, it was tooooo crowded, but it was beautiful. After this, onto our hotel. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. It was great!

We spent the next day on the beach again, then Tuesday we headed home, but not before we had an icy fruity drink on the beach.
We had too!

This was one of the BEST trips we've every ever had! And we would totally go back, just to have a relaxing time. And yes, we would go back to the Beachscape. Nice, clean, quiet and the Cleanest beach in Cancun. At least that's what they say. hee hee!

Enjoy the Ride!!!
