CANCUUUUUNNN!!!!! June 2019

Our BIG trip this year (so far) was to CANCUN! We've never been there before so seemed like a great place to go!!! BEACH, BEER, RELAX, WARM WATER..YES! Our kinda place.
We flew out of the Tijuana Airport again. Which, by the way, is REALLY nice now! The terminal has Starbucks, restaurants clean bathrooms! AWESOME! We park at the CBX on the US side and get our Immigration Green Cards to visit, check bags and walk over. SO EASY and inexpensive. It's just really nice when we fly back to have our car and simply drive home. Very easy and stress free.

We flew to Mexico City then onto Cancun. Arrived in Cancun at around 5pm and it was BEAUTIFUL but Humid. No worries though, we're going to the BEACH! Got our bags, found our shuttle and off we went. Our resort was on the "Hotel strip" part of Cancun, between 2 BIG RESORTS. BEACHSCAPE KIN HA    Beautiful Resort. Quiet and the rooms, OMG, are soooo nice. We  upgraded to a huge suite, but I didn't realize it was this big. 1200 SQ ft, 2 balconies, full kitchen, living room, dining room table (6 chairs), and a dining table on 1 of the balconies, then a separate BEDROOM with the FULL ON BATH and SHOWER! OMG!! So much room for activities!!

After checking in, we found the BAR on the BEACH. Literally, ON THE BEACH! We sat at the table and my feet were dangling over the sand. Perfect start to the vacation.

As you probably already guessed, the next day.......

Yes, all day long. That's it! And the next day!

But on the Sunday of our trip, we decided to venture out and go on an ADVENTURE! And it WAS!

Took a bus tour of: Chichen Itza
This trip from Cancun is a long trip, not too long, but about 2 hours each way. So this is why we took a bus. Tour Bus, air conditioning, soft comfortable seats, food, beer and plenty of leg room.  We had a personal guide who gave us all the info and history of the site. They did stop so we could have a bathroom break and stretch our legs.

Then next stop, the site. It's a National Park site, so we had to go through buildings, with our tickets (included in the price of the tour), then walk down this dirt path through some woodsy type areas, then to the BIG Pyramid!! When you walk out of the woods, it's just there. Big, huge, magical, awe inspiring, breathtaking, and any of adjective you can think of for AWESOME!

It's big, strong, ominous, and simply awe striking. You can't climb the stairs anymore, because people were taking pieces of the walls and carving their names in it (stupid), so they stopped that. It was really hot that day, so that's ok we couldn't climb the stairs. The entire site is HUGE! They actually discovered more of the site a mile and a half away that is still being excavated and it's not open to visitors yet. CRAZY! This is a WONDER OF THE WORLD! We got to see one. So exciting. Now we are interested in any documentary about the Mayans! HAHA!

We stayed with the group for about an hour then we walked around by ourselves exploring everything we wanted to spend more time on. Our tour was over around 1pm and we had to meet at the bus where they had....
Well....it was HOT...We stopped for Lunch then went to a Cenote. We didn't go in, it was tooooo crowded, but it was beautiful. After this, onto our hotel. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. It was great!

We spent the next day on the beach again, then Tuesday we headed home, but not before we had an icy fruity drink on the beach.
We had too!

This was one of the BEST trips we've every ever had! And we would totally go back, just to have a relaxing time. And yes, we would go back to the Beachscape. Nice, clean, quiet and the Cleanest beach in Cancun. At least that's what they say. hee hee!

Enjoy the Ride!!!

YEEHAW!! Stagecoach!! 2019

YUP..we went to Stagecoach!! 3 day Country Music Festival. WOW what a ride that was! We left on Friday after work to get to the hotel, which was awesome...Caliente Tropics in Palm Springs...so fun..and it was nice to be away from the venue. That way we got to calm down from all the energy from the concert. Big rooms, AC (very important), shower, suite, great food at the restaurant, and POOL. So 60's Frankie and Annette Vibe...We have a friend who lives in Indio, 10 minutes from the venue, so we parked at his house then Lyft'd to the show. That way we could Uber back. Friday night we Uber'd, Sat night, we walked back to the house. Uber for the venue was $85!!! WHAT...Lyft was $9 to get there. Uber charged an extra $22 for "special Event" fee. So we said...NO we can walk faster than it will take to get in line, wait on the Uber then go through all of the closed streets...it took us 45 minutes just to get the Uber when it takes 30 minutes to walk to my friends house and it's free...This math is easy..
But
The festival was AWESOME!! A lot of People!! 85000 on Friday and I know it was more on Sat!!
We wanted to make sure we got there for Bret Michels and Luke Bryan...
And we did. We got some food and beers and started our Cowboy good time!!

where we got to see...LYNARD SKYNARD

That was a highlight!! Right after SKYYYNAAARRRDDD
we had to head over to Luke Combs!! He was Awesome and Pat has a bromance going on with him...

Luke Combs was GREAT!! Another late and the need for snacks...we made friends with the lady at the store...so she was waiting on us Saturday night!!! HAHAHA!

There was no one we really wanted to see on Sunday, during the day, so we spent the day at Pioneer town. Ate at Pappy and Harriets, walked around the movie set. Yes...we made it to work on Monday!!! I don't know how, but we did..

This was an adventure I absolutely LOVED!! We had a blast!!! Tired...but again...good Tired!!
